Week 6 – The EU and a walled garden.

This week i decided to make a remediation that represents a walled Garden. Ted has said ‘it is not the internet anymore”.

“A Walled Garden – a closed, hierarchical, centralised database – such as Facebook controls, surveilles, and censors the information in its ‘wall’.

So considering this and thinking about what the EU is doing, or considering doing with the article 13. This means that the EU is potentially putting a walled garden between them and the users of the internet. Article 13 allows the EU to control and flag any potential copyrighted material. This allowes them to censor information in the whole of Europe.

Does this make sense? I don’t know, you tell me?
